The Ministry of Textiles is running a training program called Samarth to help people get jobs in the textile industry. This program gives skill training in different parts of the textile sector (except spinning and weaving).
As of 24 July 2025, 4,57,724 people have completed training, and 3,55,662 have got jobs. Out of these, 88% are women, which is a big achievement.
To keep everything working smoothly, the Ministry uses special computer software. It even tracks student attendance through fingerprint machines linked to Aadhaar.
This information was shared in Rajya Sabha today by the Minister of State for Textiles, Shri Pabitra Margherita.
