Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated Semicon India 2025 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, outlining India’s ambitions to become a global hub for semiconductor innovation, manufacturing, and design.

Addressing global semiconductor industry leaders, start-ups, and students, the Prime Minister said, “The world trusts India, the world believes in India, and the world is ready to build the semiconductor future with India.”

Highlighting the scale of opportunity, PM Modi noted that the global semiconductor market is projected to cross $1 trillion in the coming years, and India is well positioned to secure a significant share of it. He likened semiconductors to “digital diamonds”, emphasizing their central role in driving global progress in the 21st century.
