Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. has announced its financial results for the first quarter ending June 30, 2025. The company reported a net profit of ₹3,712 crore, which is a 1.7% rise compared to ₹3,641 crore in the same period last year.
During this quarter, net sales income increased by 8.11%, reaching ₹36,625 crore compared to ₹33,875 crore a year ago.
In a statement, the company said the domestic passenger vehicle market remained weak, with demand staying low. Maruti’s domestic sales dropped by 4.5%, but this was balanced by a strong 37.4% growth in exports. As a result, the company saw an overall sales volume growth of 1.1% year-on-year.
Maruti sold a total of 5,27,861 vehicles in the quarter. Out of these, 4,30,889 units were sold in India, and 96,972 units were exported.
The company’s performance shows the importance of export markets, especially when domestic demand slows down.
