The Shendra-Bidkin Industrial Area (AURIC) in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, has approved new land allotments for several companies. AURIC is India’s first smart industrial city, developed under the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC).
The newly approved projects will bring in investments of more than ₹200 crore and are expected to create around 1,000 jobs. The projects are spread across sectors like food ingredients, paper products, electronics manufacturing, road construction equipment, and alloy casting.
Among the major approvals:
- Science for Society Techno Services Pvt. Ltd. will set up a food ingredient plant with an investment of ₹104 crore, creating 325 jobs.
- Lonbest India Pvt. Ltd. will invest ₹110 crore in an electronics manufacturing unit for chipsets and PCBs, generating 500 jobs.
- Su-Tantra Paper Products Pvt. Ltd., Alankar Engineering Equipments Pvt. Ltd., and Varad Alloy Casting received land for expansion of their existing businesses.
The government said these approvals show strong investor confidence in AURIC, which is being developed as part of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC).
Union Minister Piyush Goyal and other officials recently visited AURIC to boost investment and assure industry support.
AURIC aims to offer modern infrastructure, green industrial practices, and smooth connectivity to make it a hub for future industries.
