Digi Yatra has reached a major milestone of 1 crore users, with an average of 30,000 app downloads per day, marking a significant achievement in digital travel solutions. The platform announced this on Tuesday.

Digi Yatra uses facial biometric technology for contactless passenger processing at airports, ensuring a seamless and efficient travel experience. Reaching this milestone highlights the platform’s growing popularity and its commitment to privacy and convenience.

“The 10 million user milestone reflects the trust of our users. Our initiatives, including the ‘d-KYC’ campaign, helped drive growth in 2024. We remain focused on innovation, privacy, and enhancing the passenger experience for even greater success,” said Suresh Khadakbhavi, CEO of Digi Yatra Foundation.

Digi Yatra has partnered with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) for the IATA One-ID X Digi Yatra initiative. This partnership will enable international travel through the platform, further expanding its reach in 2025.

The d-KYC (Don’t Know Your Customer) campaign, launched in October 2024, emphasizes user privacy, ensuring that Digi Yatra operates without storing or accessing personal data.

Since its launch in December 2022, Digi Yatra has streamlined travel across 24 Indian airports, facilitating over 45 million hassle-free journeys.

Looking ahead, Digi Yatra plans to support all 22 official Indian languages, making travel easier for passengers in their preferred language. Additionally, the platform aims to launch an international pilot project to allow foreign travellers with e-passports to experience its seamless ecosystem.

With these advancements, Digi Yatra is set to revolutionize digital air travel further in the coming years.
