Volkswagen is bringing electric cars to everyone with its new ID. EVERY1 concept—a budget-friendly electric car designed for Europe. Set to launch in 2027 with a starting price of around €20,000, this model is part of Volkswagen’s plan to make electric mobility more affordable.
Before that, in 2026, they’ll introduce the ID. 2all, a slightly larger EV in the €25,000 price range. Both cars belong to Volkswagen’s Electric Urban Car Family and are built on the MEB platform, which offers efficient front-wheel drive.
The ID. EVERY1 isn’t just affordable—it’s also smart, stylish, and practical. It has a sporty design, a flexible interior, and modern digital features, making it perfect for everyday driving, whether for personal or business use.
It’s powered by a 70 kW (95 PS) electric motor, can reach speeds of 130 km/h, and offers at least 250 km of driving range. It’s a compact car, measuring 3,880 mm in length, making it slightly bigger than Volkswagen’s old up! model but smaller than the Polo. Inside, there’s room for four people and a 305-liter luggage space.
What makes the ID. EVERY1 stand out is its brand-new software system, which allows for lifetime updates and upgrades. This means your car can get new features even years after you buy it, keeping it up to date with the latest tech.
According to Volkswagen CEO Thomas Schäfer, this car is the missing piece in their plan to offer a full range of affordable electric options.
Volkswagen is on a mission to launch nine new models by 2027, including four electric cars, as part of their big “Future Volkswagen” strategy. Their plan has three key steps:
- Advance – Strengthen their current car lineup and prepare for the future.
- Attack – Introduce new, affordable electric cars like the ID. 2all and ID. EVERY1.
- Achieve – Become the top electric car brand in the world by 2030.
With this approach, Volkswagen is making sure everyone has access to affordable, innovative, and high-quality electric cars, just like they did with the Beetle and Golf in the past.
