BYD Auto India has launched the updated 2025 versions of the BYD Atto 3 SUV and Seal sedan with new features and improvements. To celebrate their first anniversary, BYD has announced that the first 3,000 customers of the Atto 3 will get it at 2024 prices. Bookings for the Atto 3 are open for a ₹30,000 token amount, while the Seal can be booked for ₹1.25 lakh, with deliveries starting after the price announcement in April 2025.
The 2025 BYD Atto 3 now comes with an all-black interior and ventilated front seats for extra comfort. A major change is the new Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, replacing the old lead-acid battery. This new battery is six times lighter and has a lifespan of 15 years, according to BYD. The Atto 3 continues to offer a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless charger, and ADAS safety features. It comes with two battery options: 49.92 kWh (468 km range) and 60.48 kWh (521 km range), with 204 PS power and 310 Nm torque. The introductory prices are ₹24.99 lakh (Dynamic), ₹29.85 lakh (Premium), and ₹33.99 lakh (Superior).
The 2025 BYD Seal sedan also gets some upgrades. All models now come with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a powered sunshade, and an improved air conditioning system for better cooling and air purification. The Premium variant now has Frequency Selective Dampers (FSD) for a smoother ride, while the top-end Performance variant gets the DiSus-C adaptive suspension, which adjusts automatically to road conditions. The Seal continues to offer a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, ventilated and heated front seats, a 360-degree camera, and 9 airbags. It has three battery options: 61.44 kWh (510 km range), 82.56 kWh (650 km range), and 82.56 kWh AWD (580 km range), with power ranging from 204 PS to 530 PS.
According to Mr. Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles (EPV) Business at BYD India, these upgrades show BYD’s commitment to innovation and providing a better driving experience. The Atto 3 competes with the Tata Curvv EV and Hyundai Creta Electric, while the Seal takes on the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, and Volvo C40 Recharge.
