FACOR responds Cyclone Dana

BHADRAK, OCT 28

In the wake of Cyclone Dana’s devastating impact, Ferro Alloys Corporation Limited (FACOR), one of India’s oldest and most reputable producers of Charge Chrome, has launched extensive relief operations in Bhadrak. The company is dedicated to supporting the affected community across four gram panchayats through a coordinated relief initiative.

FACOR has established seven mobile health camps, providing crucial medical services to over 370 community members facing health challenges due to the cyclone. These camps have been vital in addressing immediate medical needs.

Recognizing the plight of local livestock, FACOR has also provided 1,150 kg of fodder to support stray cattle, ensuring their well-being during this crisis. Besides, 150 relief kits containing essential items such as puffed rice, jaggery, candles, matchsticks, and biscuits have been distributed to residents in the affected areas. The company has also distributed 120 tarpaulins to help cover homes impacted by flooding. Company volunteers, along with Pradipa Kumar Sethy, BDO of Bonth, actively participated in these efforts, reinforcing the spirit of community support.

In response to the extreme weather conditions, FACOR has also undertaken the clearing of fallen trees and debris from roads and homes, improving safety and accessibility for all residents. These collective efforts underscore FACOR’s commitment to the swift recovery and welfare of the community.
