The Udyam Sakhi Portal, launched by the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), has so far seen 4,535 women entrepreneurs register on the platform.
The portal (www.udyamsakhi.com) is designed to help women start, build, and grow their businesses by providing information on financial schemes, government policies, training programmes, and support institutions across the country.
It offers details on important MSME schemes like PMEGP, CGTMSE, MUDRA, TReDS, along with guidance on making business plans, finding nodal offices, and participating in trade fairs and international events.
The government spent ₹43.52 lakh on developing the portal back in 2018. Speaking in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for MSME Sushri Shobha Karandlaje said the portal is an important step towards making women entrepreneurs self-reliant and empowered.
