Bengaluru-based electric vehicle company Ultraviolette has launched two new models in India – the Shockwave electric motorcycle and the Tesseract electric scooter, marking a major expansion in the country’s EV market. The Ultraviolette Shockwave, India’s first electric enduro motorcycle, is designed for both off-road and city riding.
Weighing just 120 kg, it features a slim, sporty design with LED headlights and comes in Electric Yellow with Black and White with Red color options. It offers a top speed of 120 km/h, 165 km range, and 0-60 km/h acceleration in 2.9 seconds, priced at ₹1.50 lakh (ex-showroom) for the first 1,000 customers.
Meanwhile, the Ultraviolette Tesseract, a maxi electric scooter, is available at an introductory price of ₹1.20 lakh for the first 10,000 buyers. It features a sharp front design, a large seat, and comes in four colors: Desert Sand, Stealth Black, Solar White, and Sonic Pink.
The scooter offers three battery options with a range of up to 261 km, top speed of 125 km/h, and 0-60 km/h acceleration in 2.9 seconds. It also includes smart radar-based safety features, a 7-inch touchscreen display, dash camera, wireless phone charging, and 34-liter boot space.
Ultraviolette has announced plans to expand its lineup over the next three years with affordable electric scooters and motorcycles under four series: the S Series (scooters like Tesseract), L Series (off-road and city bikes like Shockwave), X Series (sporty city bikes), and B Series (power cruisers).
This move highlights the company’s shift towards mass-market EVs, making electric mobility more accessible. Deliveries for the Shockwave and Tesseract are expected to begin in early 2026, setting the stage for a stronger and more affordable EV ecosystem in India.
