DPIIT joined hands with Mercedes Benz India

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has joined hands with Mercedes-Benz India to drive innovation, enhance road safety, and promote environmental sustainability in India. This partnership aims to support startups, entrepreneurs, and innovators by providing infrastructure, mentorship, funding, and market access.

Through this collaboration, structured programs will be developed to help startups grow, encourage industry-academia linkages, and facilitate global knowledge exchange. The initiative will also focus on advancing India’s manufacturing sector responsibly and sustainably.

Shri Sanjiv, Joint Secretary, DPIIT, emphasized that this partnership is a strategic move to strengthen India’s industrial ecosystem and technological advancements. Shri Santosh Iyer, Managing Director, Mercedes-Benz India, highlighted that the company will leverage its CSR initiatives to support incubators and institutes, ensuring a positive societal impact.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Sumeet Kumar Jarangal, Director, DPIIT, and Shri Santosh Iyer, in the presence of senior officials from both organizations, marking a significant step toward fostering innovation, sustainability, and road safety in India.
