ROURKELA, NOV 6
An award distribution ceremony under the Instant Recognition Scheme was held at the Roll Shop Unit of the Hot Strip Mill-2 Department, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), on Tuesday. The event was presided over by Subrat Kumar, Chief General Manager (HSM-2 & Auxiliaries), who presented awards to 12 contract workers from various agencies.
The recipients, employed by Messrs Srutee Enterprises, Messrs Kunnath Engineers, Messrs Behera Enterprise, Messrs Abreast Engineering Company, Messrs Lloyds Engineering Private Limited, and Messrs PM Construction, were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the department.
Senior officials present at the ceremony included SR Mohapatra, General Manager In-charge (Roll Shop), M Maharana, Deputy General Manager (Roll Shop), and Sangeeta M Sindur, Senior Manager (HR), along with other senior officers, employees of the Roll Shop, and representatives from the concerned contractor agencies.
Subrat Kumar congratulated the awardees for their exceptional performance and encouraged them to maintain high standards of work, contributing to the continued success of the department and the plant.
The awards recognized workers for their excellence in tasks such as the segregation, dismantling, and dismounting of work rolls and backup roll chocks; proper stacking for auction or disposal; the installation of lock plates in Plate Mill work roll chocks; and the development of a ‘C’ clamp arrangement for the Jib Crane hoist in the Hot Strip Mill-2 Roll Shop. The workers were also commended for maintaining the highest cleanliness standards within the unit.
