Yamaha FZ S Fi Hybrid

Yamaha has launched the 2025 FZ-S Fi Hybrid in India, making it the first 150cc hybrid motorcycle in the country. It is priced at ₹1,44,800 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and costs ₹14,000 more than the FZS FI V4 Deluxe model. Moreover, this bike brings battery-assisted acceleration and several upgraded features.

The term hybrid means the bike has a Smart Motor Generator (SMG) that provides extra power from a small battery when you accelerate. This helps in better fuel efficiency and also makes the engine start quietly. The bike also has a Start & Stop System (SSS) that automatically turns off the engine when idle or waiting in traffic and restarts quickly with a clutch press. This helps save fuel.

Key Features

  • Engine & Power: It has a 149cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 12.4 bhp power and 13.3 Nm torque. It comes with a 5-speed gearbox and follows the latest OBD2B emission rules or standards.
  • Digital Display: A 4.2-inch color TFT screen that connects to your smartphone using the Y-Connect app. It allows riders to access turn-by-turn navigation (Google Maps), music control, geo-fencing, parking location tracking, and alerts.
  • New & Updated Design: The bike has a repositioned handlebar, easy-to-use switches, integrated turn signals, and a fuel tank cap that stays attached while refueling.

  • Weight & Colors: The bike weighs 138 kg, slightly heavier than the standard FZ-S V4. It is available in two colors, i.e., Racing Blue and Cyan Metallic Grey.

Price & Competition

The FZ-S Fi Hybrid costs ₹10,000 more than the regular FZ-S Fi, but it comes with better fuel efficiency and smart features. It is expected to set a new trend in India’s two-wheeler market, and Yamaha hopes this bike will encourage more people to switch to fuel-saving, modern motorcycles.

With this launch, Yamaha aims to bring innovative technology to daily riders, making travel easier, smoother, quieter, and more fuel-efficient.
