RSP Vishwakarma Puja Celebration

ROURKELA, SEP 16

Vishwakarma Puja, honouring the divine architect renowned for crafting chariots, weapons, and building cities, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy at Rourkela Steel Plant on Monday. The celebration featured exquisitely crafted idols of Lord Vishwakarma displayed in intricately decorated pandals, inspiring feelings of devotion and reverence among the participants. Over 100 pandals were set up within the Steel Plant, showcasing the fervor and creativity of the employees.

Atanu Bhowmick, Director In-Charge of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), along with senior officials including SR Suryawanshi, ED (Works), Tarun Misra, ED (HR), Alok Verma, ED (Mines), AK Behuria, ED (F&A), B. Palai, CGM In-Charge (Iron), Anil Kumar, CGM In-Charge (MM), and Dr. Jayant Acharya, CMO In-Charge (M&HS), visited several Puja pandals across the plant. During their visits, Bhowmick commended the employees for their enthusiasm and innovative spirit.

Following the Puja celebrations, Bhowmick and other dignitaries visited Deepika Hast Kargha, a handloom centre established by RSP and managed by Deepika Mahila Sanghati. Seema Deb Bhowmick, President, and other office bearers of the Sanghati were present to welcome the guests.

In Hindu mythology, Lord Vishwakarma is revered as the symbol of creativity, ingenuity, and craftsmanship. For a technology-driven industry like Rourkela Steel Plant, these celebrations hold special significance, reflecting the plant’s commitment to blending tradition with modernity.
