PPA Vigilance Awareness Week

PARADIP, OCT 28

In accordance with the directives of the Central Vigilance Commission, Paradip Port Authority (PPA) is celebrating Vigilance Awareness Week from October 28 to November 3, 2024, under the theme “Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity.” The observance commenced at Paradip Port with PPA Chairman P.L. Haranadh administering the Integrity Pledge to employees at the PPA Administrative Building on Monday.

In his address, Haranadh emphasized that maintaining the highest levels of integrity, honesty, and transparency in our work contributes significantly to the nation’s economic development. “We should always strive to provide excellent service to our customers while addressing their genuine requests and helping the organization grow,” he stated.

Following the pledge, a spot quiz contest on vigilance knowledge was held among the employees.

The local cultural organization CANMASS performed a skit titled “Yama Darbar,” which effectively highlighted the issues surrounding corruption and received enthusiastic applause from the audience.

Throughout Vigilance Awareness Week 2024, a variety of activities and competitions — including elocution, essay writing, drawing, and fancy dress — are scheduled for local school students to promote broader awareness. PPA employees are also encouraged to take the integrity e-pledge by visiting the websites of the CVC and PPA.

Several hoardings and digital displays in the locality are enhancing public awareness, and each department of PPA is conducting stakeholder meetings focused on corruption awareness and grievance redressal. Issues related to departmental functions have also been addressed as part of a three-month campaign leading up to Vigilance Awareness Week 2024.
