The weeklong Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2024 campaign at Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) concluded with a vibrant closing ceremony attended by MCL employees, their families, teachers, and students from local schools.
During the event, PK Patel, Chief Vigilance Officer, commended Team MCL for its outstanding efforts in spreading awareness and promoting the values of integrity and vigilance. He highlighted the significant outreach activities that engaged both MCL personnel and the wider community.
AK Behura, Director (Finance) of MCL, was also present at the ceremony, showing strong support for the initiatives.
As part of the event, the dignitaries launched the second edition of the Vigilance Advisories, which are designed to bring about systemic improvements. These advisories are an integral part of MCL’s ongoing three-month preventive vigilance campaign, which aims to foster transparency and integrity within the organization.
Awards were presented to winners of various competitions held throughout the week, including those based on the theme of “Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity.” The week’s activities included Bidders’ Meets, a cyclothon, and several educational and interactive competitions.
