BHUBANESWAR, OCT 28

Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest aluminium producer, has successfully supported ITI graduates from Jharsuguda and surrounding areas through its flagship skill development initiative, Project Sakshyam. This program provides advanced industrial training at the prestigious World Skill Centre in Bhubaneswar.

Project Sakshyam is a year-long residential program where students specialize in various trades, including mechatronics, mechanical and electrical services, vertical transportation, and electrical technology. Recently, Vedanta celebrated the achievements of these graduates, many of whom secured employment with leading organizations such as Tata Motors and Johnson Lift and Escalator.

Speaking about this initiative, Sunil Gupta, Chief Operating Officer of Vedanta Aluminium, said, “Project Sakshyam embodies our unwavering commitment to empowering the next generation. We are immensely proud of our graduates, whose remarkable achievements reflect their hard work and potential. Skilling the younger population is integral to our vision of enhancing the socio-economic status of the communities where we operate. By equipping them with market-relevant skills and fostering a culture of continuous learning, we are not only securing their future but also integrating remote areas of the country into the socio-economic mainstream. It’s an honour for Vedanta Aluminium to be part of their transformative journey.”

Expressing her gratitude, Arati Mahato, a student, said: “I am thankful to Vedanta’s Project Sakshyam for providing specialized training in Mechanical and Electrical services. This advanced training has equipped me with essential skills to transform my career and empowered me to excel and make a lasting impact in my field.”
