The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has announced the diversion of three long-distance trains for a month due to ongoing modernization work at Cuttack railway station. The upgrades include the construction of an air concourse and other safety improvements.

Affected Trains and New Route:

From February 16 to March 17, the following trains will take an alternative route via Barang-Naraj Marthapur-Kapilas Road, skipping Cuttack station:

  • 12515 Coimbatore-Silchar Weekly Super-Fast Express (arrives Cuttack on Tuesdays)
  • 22643 Ernakulam-Patna Bi-weekly Express (arrives late night on Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
  • 12509 Bengaluru-Guwahati Tri-weekly Express (arrives late night on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays)

During this period, passengers can board and deboard at Naraj Marthapur instead of Cuttack.

To assist travelers, the Khurda Road Division will provide free bus services between Cuttack and Naraj Marthapur stations throughout the diversion period.
