TPWODL launches sub station

BURLA, SEP 5

In its ongoing efforts to enhance electricity distribution infrastructure, TPWODL has commissioned a new 33/11 KV Power Sub-Station (PSS) at Remed, Sambalpur. The facility, which became operational on Thursday, was inaugurated by TPWODL CEO Parveen Verma alongside senior company officials.

This new sub-station will serve approximately 25,000 consumers across Burla, Hirakud, Remed, Goplalpali, Durgapali, Khetrajpur, Larpank, and surrounding areas. Previously, these areas received power from the Ainthapali PSS. The addition of the Remed PSS is expected to improve voltage stability and reliability of the power supply, enhancing operational efficiency and reducing power restoration times.

On the occasion, Parveen Verma emphasized the company’s commitment to infrastructure development in Sambalpur district, particularly in the town itself, and instructed the project team to adhere to the planned timelines for future initiatives.
