BHUBANESWAR, NOV 8
Tata Power Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL) on Friday announced the launch of its fourth annual ‘Quality Month.’
The opening event was led by Arvind Singh, CEO of TPCODL and Chairperson of the Total Quality Management (TQM) Core Committee, alongside the Senior Leadership Team and TQM Core Committee members.
This year’s theme, “Quality: From Compliance to Performance,” highlights TPCODL’s commitment to not just meeting regulatory standards but advancing to higher performance levels that align with customer expectations.
In his address, CEO Arvind Singh emphasized the importance of the ‘First Time Right’ principle and the Cost of Poor Quality, stressing these as key drivers of excellence, even in challenging circumstances. “Quality is not an act; it’s a habit,” he said, encouraging employees to embed a culture of quality in every aspect of their work. He also underlined the need to uphold regulatory and management standards while proactively seeking opportunities for improvement through the TQM framework.
Senior leadership reinforced the significance of Quality Circles at all organizational levels, calling for a collective commitment to TQM principles across the company.
The event also marked the launch of the first edition of the TQM Workbook on Daily Management, which offers structured methodologies for maintaining consistent, high-standard daily management practices.
Throughout the month, employees will engage in a series of activities and competitions to celebrate the invaluable contributions of all stakeholders in driving the Quality Movement forward.
