Tata Motors’ Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) manufacturing unit in Tamil Nadu is projected to commence operations by late 2025. This unit is part of Tata Motors’ strategy to turn Tamil Nadu into an export hub for electric vehicles (EVs) from JLR.
The company plans to lay the foundation stone for the Rs 9,000 crore project by September, marking the first instance of a premium vehicle being entirely manufactured in India rather than merely assembled.
