Two students from Home & Hope, Rourkela, a special school for differently-abled children supported by Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), have made the city proud by winning medals at the Down Syndrome National Games held in Kochi. The event was organized in association with Special Olympics Bharat, Kerala.
Subhranshu Maharana won a Gold medal in Shot Put and a Silver medal in the 50-metre race. He is the son of R. Moharana, Deputy Manager (Town Engineering), RSP.
Another talented student, Aniket Sharma, secured a Bronze medal in the running competition at the same event.
Their achievements highlight the dedication of the school and the support from RSP in nurturing young talents.
