On Wednesday, the domestic automaker Tata Motors of India unveiled the Tata Curvv EV, an SUV with prices starting at Rs 17.49 lakh and going up to Rs 21.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Customers of the Tata Curvv EV have a choice between two battery pack options: the 40.5kWh and 55kWh models, which have a range of 502 km and 585 km (ARAI approved, MIDC Part 1), respectively. Its 0-100 km/h time is 8.6 seconds.
According to the manufacturer, its specifically engineered fast-charging feature guarantees a 150 km range boost in just 15 minutes.
The Tata Curvv EV has three drive mode options (eco, city, and sport) as standard. It also has a multi-mode retractable retractable seat with paddle shifters and 190 mm of high ground clearance for the Curvv.ev 45 and 186 mm for the Curvv.ev 55.
Features of the Tata Curvv EV include a 31.24 cm Harman cinematic touchscreen, a 26.03 cm digital cockpit, a JBL cinematic sound system, a cinematic experience with arcade.ev and its multitude of over 20 apps, advanced OTA capabilities, V2L and V2V as standard across all personas, smartwatch connectivity, and a Powered Tailgate with gesture activation.
The car has push-button start, keyless entry, cruise control, fully automatic temperature control with fast cooling, automatic headlights, and rain-sensing wipers. The convenience factor is another area where the Curvv.ev excels.
According to Tata Motors, the product will be available in two petrol variants: the 1.5 L Kryojet diesel engine and the new Hyperion gasoline direct injection engine. Both petrol and diesel engines will be paired with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The Hyperion Gasoline Direct Injection engine, the first GDi engine produced domestically, makes its debut on Wednesday as well.
Four identities (smart, pure, creative, and accomplished) and an alluring color palette (gold essence, daytona grey, spotless white, flame red, pure grey, and opera blue) will be available for the Curvv.
