Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has been honoured with the SHRM HR Excellence Awards for ‘Excellence in Inclusion, Equity & Diversity’ and ‘Excellence in Managing the Distributed Workforce’ at the recent SHRM India Annual Conference 2024 held in New Delhi.
These awards recognize SAIL’s pioneering HR practices and initiatives aimed at fostering inclusive growth across its various plants and units nationwide. The company considers its employees fundamental to its success and central to all operations, consistently implementing strategies to enhance employee motivation and engagement.
Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal, and Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Jayant Chaudhary addressed the audience during the conference. Many industry leaders also shared their insights on the occasion.
In one of the interactive sessions, SAIL Director (Personnel) KK Singh discussed the company’s innovative HR practices and emphasized the critical role of HR in building a resilient workforce in today’s competitive business environment.
