ROURKELA, SEP 13
Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) Director In-Charge Atanu Bhowmick officially launched the new Digital Project Management Solution (DPMS) during a function at the DIC’s conference hall, ‘Manthan’ on Wednesday. The DIC expressed satisfaction with the software and commended the team behind its development.
Tarun Misra, Executive Director (HR), highlighted the software’s features, while Dillip Kumar Sahoo, General Manager (Projects), provided a detailed overview of its functionalities.
The DPMS, developed by M/s Mansycom Consultants Pvt. Ltd. on the Pulse platform from M/s Bentley Systems, USA, includes several key features designed to enhance efficiency and standardize processes. It offers cloud-based operation for scalable access, an advanced L-2 scheduler for precise monitoring, and 5D BIM for superior visualization. Additionally, the software includes a Note-Sheet Module for streamlined approvals, a mobile app for on-the-go site management, and an integrated Alert System. This system features an Email Transmittal System, Online Hindrance Register, and Meeting Module to facilitate effective communication.
Furthermore, the DPMS will serve as a central document repository, providing real-time monitoring of tendering, execution progress, and payments. It integrates seamlessly with Metal Junction for e-tendering, CET’s EDDMS for design engineering, and SAP-FI for payment and BoQ management.
The launch of DPMS marks the beginning of a new era in digital project management at RSP, setting a new benchmark for handling complex project lifecycles with enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
