RSP mushroom cultivation training

A two-day Mushroom cultivation training programme was held by CSR Department of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) at Institute of Periphery Development (IPD) from August 27.

20 members of Self Help Groups of Urmai of Nuagaon Block and Jobaghat Model Steel Village, Jhirpani Resettlement Colony and Bisroli village of Bisra Block attended the training programme.

The trainees were provided with theoretical inputs, practical demonstration and hands-on training for Mushroom Cultivation.

After the completion of the training programme, each trainee was given a self-made mushroom growing kit bag and a bottle of mushroom seed to cultivate at their respective places and motivate others for the same.

All the trainees expressed their satisfaction at the end of the training.

T Vengra and B Ekka– the Master Trainers from the CSR department along with trained Mushroom Training instructor, Kamala Toppo of Suman SHG from Dalposh village conducted the training sessions.

Sanjay Pradhan (GM TE-Electrical) presided over the valedictory function and handed over the Certificates of completion to the trainees.

Munmun Mittra (GM CSR) delivered the welcome address in which she highlighted the CSR activities of RSP.

TB Toppo (AGM CSR) proposed a formal vote of thanks. The function was coordinated by Mr. B. Ekka, Senior Field Assistant (CSR).
