The 11th International Samudra Manthan Awards 2024, held recently at the Jio World Convention Centre, BKC, Mumbai, celebrated excellence in the maritime industry. Paradip Port Authority (PPA) was honoured with the prestigious ‘Major Port of the Year-East Coast’ award, in recognition of its outstanding contributions to maritime trade. The award was received by PPA Chairman PL Haranadh on behalf of the Port.
In his acceptance speech, Haranadh congratulated Team PPA, stating that the award is a testament to the port’s continuous efforts to achieve new milestones in operational excellence within the maritime industry. He further emphasized that this achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of the entire PPA team, and the port remains committed to maintaining its leadership position among India’s major ports.
Paradip Port is on track to surpass the 100 MMT cargo handling mark next month — an achievement that comes ahead of schedule compared to last fiscal year. This significant milestone underscores Paradip’s growing role as a key player in India’s maritime sector. The port has consistently focused on enhancing its infrastructure, optimizing operations, and embracing technological innovations to better serve its stakeholders.
