PARADIP, AUG 26

Paradip Port has achieved a major milestone by successfully docking the MV THALASSINI AVARA, a vessel chartered by Tata Steel Ltd., early Monday morning. The ship carried 150,253 metric tonnes of steam coal, the largest import parcel ever handled at the KICT Berth of Paradip Port.

This record-breaking docking highlights Paradip Port’s growing capabilities as a key maritime hub. It demonstrates the port’s advanced infrastructure and efficient operations.

Speaking on this achievement, PPA Chairman PL Haranadh said, “The arrival of MV THALASSINI AVARA is a significant milestone for us. It shows our capacity to handle the world’s largest vessels and supports India’s industrial needs. We are proud to work with Tata Steel Ltd. and continue facilitating their import operations.”
