OPGC organises multi specialty health check up camp

Odisha Power Generation Corporation Ltd. (OPGC) on Friday organised a multi-specialty health check-up camp at Remenda Gram Panchayat, located in the Lakhanpur block of Jharsuguda district.

The camp was inaugurated by Naib Sarpanch Sabitri Pere, with the presence of Dr. RK Mishra, Dr. KK Mishra, Himansu Bhusan Behera (Senior Manager, Corporate Communication & CSR), along with the CSR team, doctors, and medical staff from IB Thermal Power Station.

A team of doctors, including Dr. RK Mishra (Medicine) and Dr. KK Mishra from IB Thermal Hospital, along with specialist doctors specially invited by OPGC for the camp, provided medical services. These specialists included Dr. Pritiranjan Patra (Orthopedics), Dr. Varsha Gupta (Gynaecologist), and Dr. Soumyabrata Panda (Paediatrician), who traveled from Jharsuguda and Sambalpur to examine the patients.

The camp provided consultations and medications to a total of 269 patients from eight villages: Remenda, Bisipali, Sadera, Bhutia, Ainlajharan, Pechakanta, Naikdera, and Pandri. The patients were treated for a range of health issues, including melasma, hypertension (HTN), diabetes mellitus (DM), general weakness, dermatitis, pyrexia, acute respiratory infections (ARI), low back pain (LBA), appendicitis, impetigo, amenorrhea, knee pain, acute gastritis, poor vision, lower respiratory tract infections (LRTI), cough, headache, urinary tract infections (UTI), and more.

The camp was coordinated by OPGC’s CSR team, with support from the staff of IB Thermal Hospital. As part of its CSR program, OPGC plans to organize several more multi-specialty health camps in the coming months of this financial year.
