NTPC Bongaigaon has been honoured with the prestigious CSR Health Impact Award 2024 in the Child Health System Strengthening Project (Rural) category for its significant contributions in Tuensang District, Nagaland. This award highlights NTPC Bongaigaon’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and its efforts to uplift rural communities and enhance quality of life.
The award was presented by Ashwini Kumar Choubey, former Union Minister, during a ceremony in Delhi. Shubham Pandey, Law Officer at NTPC Bongaigaon, accepted the accolade on behalf of the 750 MW power station. This recognition underscores NTPC Bongaigaon’s initiatives to improve healthcare services and infrastructure in rural areas, with a particular focus on child health.
Following the ceremony, the trophy was handed over to Akhilesh Singh, Head of Project at NTPC Bongaigaon, by Onkar Nath, AGM (HR). The event was attended by senior officials including Roshan Dungdung, DGM (HR), Madhurjya Singha Lahkar, Sr. Manager (HR-Corporate Communication), and Aduity Thakuri, CSR Executive. The award celebrates NTPC Bongaigaon’s efforts in designing and implementing sustainable projects that address critical health challenges in underserved communities.
In his acceptance speech, Akhilesh Singh expressed gratitude to the CSR and HR teams at NTPC Bongaigaon for their dedication and hard work. He highlighted that this recognition underscores the station’s commitment to impactful CSR initiatives that foster positive change and enhance community well-being.
Besides, NTPC New Delhi was recognized with the “CSR Women & Child Health Project” award for its initiative, “Running of Maternal and Child Healthcare Units at NTPC Stations,” further affirming NTPC’s role in promoting public health and social welfare across India.
