NTPC Bongaigaon joined the nation in observing Vigilance Awareness Week from October 28 to November 3, 2024 on the theme “Culture of Integrity for Nature’s Prosperity. The observance began with a solemn oath administered by Akhilesh Singh, Head of Project, NTPC Bongaigaon, in the presence of Ananta Samanta, Head of Vigilance, along with departmental heads, employees, and representatives from unions and associations.
The event aimed to encourage employees to cultivate professional and ethical values in their work environment.
In his address, Akhilesh Singh emphasized the importance of building a corruption-free society and urged participants to remain vigilant in upholding transparency within the organization.
A separate oath-taking ceremony was held within the plant premises, led by Debabrata Kar, GM (O&M), alongside Asutosh Biswas, GM (Operation). Kar underscored the significance of vigilance in ensuring organizational success and warned against the detrimental effects of corruption in today’s world. Employees from various departments actively engaged in the observance, reflecting a shared commitment to maintaining high governance standards.
Throughout the week, the vigilance wing will organize a series of competitions and activities for both internal stakeholders and external participants. These events aim to enhance awareness and commitment to integrity, fostering a vigilant organizational culture.
