NODWIN Gaming acquires Freaks 4U

Global full-service gaming and esports agency Freaks 4U Gaming, based in Berlin, will be acquired by gaming and esports company NODWIN Gaming on Friday for a sum of Rs 271 crore.

With the signing of final agreements, the company’s Singapore-based subsidiary NODWIN Gaming International Pte would grow its current 13.51 percent interest in Freaks 4U Gaming to 100% by share swapping in tranches.

“This acquisition is a pivotal step in our global growth strategy. By integrating Freaks 4U Gaming’s expertise and resources, we are poised to deliver unparalleled services and expand our global footprint in the gaming and esports industries,” Akshat Rathee, Co-Founder of NODWIN Gaming, said in a statement.

The founders Michael Haenisch, Matthias Remmert, and Jens Enders own 43% of Freaks 4U Gaming. NODWIN Pte will first increase its existing investment to 57% of the company. The remaining 43% may be switched at a later date at its discretion.

According to the company, current Freaks 4U Gaming investors will become NODWIN Pte stockholders.

“With our shared vision and ambition, we look forward to driving our global expansion while spearheading innovation and growth for gaming and esports,” Haenisch stated.

Freaks 4U Gaming made Rs 223 crores in revenue in 2023 and provides brands and publishers with a wide range of agency services and best-in-class solutions.

For $2 million last year, NODWIN Gaming’s Singapore acquired a 100% share in game marketing company PublishME from its current owners, Nazara Technologies and Ozgur Ozalp.
