KALINGANAGAR, SEP 18
Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited, in collaboration with the Tata Steel Foundation (TSF), organised a weekly health camp at Bajrapalli village under Salijanga Panchayat of Danagadi Block.
The camp focused on addressing the health needs of displaced households associated with Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited (NINL). A total of 24 beneficiaries — 18 females and 6 males — received medical screenings and services. Participants included 3 children, 4 seniors, and 17 adults, highlighting a diverse age distribution.
Screenings for non-communicable diseases were conducted for 15 individuals, with 4 cases of hypertension identified; no cases of diabetes were reported. Additionally, door-to-door screenings for 10 individuals uncovered various health concerns, including musculoskeletal disorders, upper respiratory tract infections, gynaecological issues, anaemia, skin disorders, and viral fever. One antenatal care (ANC) check-up was also performed.
The health camp further addressed general weakness in 5 individuals. This initiative aims to provide essential health services to displaced households while promoting overall community well-being. By offering medical screenings, diagnoses, and necessary treatments, the camp significantly contributes to the health and welfare of the affected population.
