New Delhi, Feb 10
The Ministry of Labour and Employment has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with FoundIt (formerly Monster), a popular job portal, to create more job opportunities for young people. This partnership aims to add over 10 lakh job openings every year on the National Career Service (NCS) portal.
Expanding Job Opportunities
The MoU was signed in the presence of Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Minister of Labour and Employment. The goal is to improve both national and international job opportunities for those registered on the NCS portal.
People looking for jobs on the NCS Portal will now have access to jobs not only in India but also in Southeast Asia and the Middle East, which will significantly increase their chances of finding employment.
More Job Vacancies
Mandaviya encouraged young people to register on the NCS platform to take advantage of the many career opportunities available. He also mentioned that the NCS portal is connected to the ‘My Bharat, SIDH’ portal, which helps young people bridge the skill gap and become more employable.
He pointed out that the NCS Portal plays a key role in connecting job seekers with jobs within India and overseas. He said that the MoU would add 1.25 lakh international job vacancies and more than 10 lakh domestic job vacancies each year. The NCS portal currently adds around 3,000 to 4,000 new job listings every day, helping millions of job seekers.
A Gateway for Employment
According to Mandaviya, the NCS Portal has become an important platform for job seekers, helping them find jobs across different industries. The portal has over 40 lakh employers registered and has listed more than 4.4 crore vacancies since it started. On any given day, there are nearly 10 lakh jobs available, providing continuous opportunities for the youth.
Global Reach
The NCS Portal is also connected to the e-Migrate platform, which works with 500 recruitment agencies approved by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). This partnership helps Indian workers find jobs abroad with trustworthy employers.
With this MoU, the NCS portal is expected to become an even bigger platform, offering more job opportunities both in India and internationally, ultimately helping young people build successful careers.
