The third evening of the Vedavyas Sangeet Nrutyotsav-2024 dazzled music lovers with an enchanting program that showcased the rich heritage of classical music. Held on Monday, the event was inaugurated by Rourkela MLA Sarada Prasad Nayak, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. PK Swain, Chief General Manager In-Charge of Town Administration & CSR at RSP, served as the guest of honour.
The festival, which spans five days, features a lineup of renowned artists from India and abroad, dedicated to celebrating the art of dance and music.
Dignitaries praised the Bhanja Kala Kendra for its efforts in organizing the festival and highlighted its role in promoting classical dance and music in the region.
The evening commenced with a soulful Odissi Brunda Gayan performance by artists from Bhanja Kala Kendra, led by the esteemed Guru Binapani Rath. The audience was further enchanted by the captivating Hindustani classical vocals of Guru Koushik Bhattacharjee, an internationally acclaimed artist celebrated for his magical voice. The evening continued with a delightful Odissi vocal performance by eminent exponent Rupak Kumar Parida, leaving the audience spellbound.
The event is being organized with the support of the Bhanja Cultural Trust under the guidance of Tarun Mishra, President of the Bhanja Cultural Trust and Executive Director (P&A) at RSP. Subha Shankar Raychoudhury, President of Bhanja Kala Kendra, welcomed the gathering, while Radha Krushna Mohapatra, General Secretary of Bhanja Kala Kendra, coordinated the inaugural ceremony. The show was anchored by Sasanka Sekhar Pattnaik, Deputy Manager (PR) at RSP.
