New Delhi, Dec 19
Range Rover, a global car company, announced on Thursday that it has started selling the 2025 “Made in India” Range Rover Sport in India.
The 2025 Range Rover Sport is the first car made in India just for the Indian market. It comes in two versions: a 3.0L Petrol Dynamic HSE and a 3.0L Diesel Dynamic HSE, as announced by Tata Motors, the company behind it.
The price of the new Range Rover Sport starts at Rs 1.45 crore, before taxes, and is available in five colors: Fuji White, Santorini Black, Giola Green, Varesine Blue, and Charente Grey.
The Range Rover Sport is available in two versions: 3.0L Petrol Dynamic HSE and 3.0L Diesel Dynamic HSE. It is built on a modern platform called MLA-Flex, offering better performance, handling, and efficiency.
Rajan Amba, Managing Director of JLR India, mentioned that new features like perforated leather seats, massage front seats, and a head-up display will give customers a more comfortable and high-tech experience in the Range Rover Sport.
The car also comes with a 13.1-inch curved touchscreen for infotainment, a 13.7-inch driver display, and features like ‘Software Over The Air’ updates and the ‘Head-Up Display.’
The 2025 Range Rover Sport also includes high-quality semi-aniline leather seats.
In September, Tata Motors started building a new Rs 9,000 crore facility in Tamil Nadu to produce and export next-generation vehicles for Tata Motors and Jaguar Land Rover.
The new Tata Motors plant is located in Panapakkam, Ranipet district. It will serve both Indian and international markets and create over 5,000 jobs. Tata Motors plans to invest Rs 9,000 crore in this new facility, which will have the capacity to produce over 250,000 vehicles each year.
Production will start in stages, gradually increasing to reach full capacity in 5-7 years.
Earlier this year, Tata Motors-owned JLR announced plans to start assembling the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport in India for the first time, which will help lower their prices.
Currently, Tata Motors’ Pune plant assembles models like the Range Rover Velar, Range Rover Evoque, Jaguar F-PACE, and Discovery Sport.
