KIIT Deemed to be University successfully hosted the International Conference on ‘Recent Advances in Nanomedicine’ on February 21-22, 2025. The event brought together over 500 participants, including researchers, students, doctors, social scientists, and startups.
Experts from countries like the USA, Switzerland, Spain, India, Germany, Argentina, France, Ireland, and Australia shared insights on the latest developments in nanotechnology for medical use, including diagnostics, imaging, and treatments. Discussions also focused on creating affordable and practical healthcare solutions.
The conference was jointly organized by the Precision Nanomedicine Journal (USA), KIIT’s School of Biotechnology and Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), and the Bhubaneswar City Knowledge Innovation Cluster (BCKIC), an initiative under the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India.
Prof. Patrick Hunziker, President of the International Society for Nanomedicine (Switzerland), and Prof. Lajos P Balogh, Editor-in-Chief of Precision Nanomedicine (USA), inaugurated the event.
Prof. Mrutyunjay Suar, Director General of Research & Innovation at KIIT and CEO of KIIT Technology Business Incubator (KIITTBI), delivered the welcome speech.
Students from across India participated by presenting research posters and pitching new ideas. The most promising innovations will be further developed at KIITTBI.
KIIT University and BCKIC reaffirmed their commitment to promoting scientific and technological advancements.
Dr. Namrata Misra, CEO of BCKIC, concluded the event by thanking all participants and highlighting that the conference will help build strong international collaborations in research and innovation.
