NEW DELHI, SEP 30
Jindal Stainless has announced a strategic collaboration with CJ Darcl Logistics to innovate lightweight and sustainable stainless steel containers for transporting diverse goods such as polymers, batteries, and rubber. Each container will utilize 2.2 metric tonnes of JT grade stainless steel, replacing traditional carbon steel in key structural areas.
This shift results in a weight reduction of approximately 500 kilograms per container, enhancing cargo capacity and improving fuel efficiency, while also cutting operational costs. The stainless steel construction offers superior impact and fire resistance, contributing to increased safety and longevity.
Abhyuday Jindal, Managing Director of Jindal Stainless, emphasized the importance of sustainability in India’s booming logistics sector. He noted that stainless steel solutions can significantly reduce the carbon footprint, while also ensuring zero contamination due to its inert properties. This partnership aligns with Jindal Stainless’ vision to create cost-effective, environmentally friendly solutions for the industry.
