KALINGANAGAR, OCT 21

Jindal Stainless Limited has launched the “Sanjivani” Pure Spice Manufacturing Institute and Sales Center in Jakhpura village, marking a significant step in empowering local women through sustainable livelihood opportunities. This initiative, part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, provides comprehensive training for women to independently operate their spice production.

Under the guidance of Jindal’s CSR team, the women of Jakhpura have successfully established operations focused on producing high-quality turmeric and chilli powder. By sourcing raw materials from local farmers and adhering to strict hygienic practices, Sanjivani aims to deliver pure spices, certified by the Food Safety Department of Odisha.

Currently, around 600 families have embraced Sanjivani’s offerings, and plans are underway to expand the product line to include cumin and coriander powders.

“This initiative not only supports women but also boosts the local economy,” said Sukant Kumar Rath, Head of Jindal’s CSR Department.
