The Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj has come to an end after 45 days of celebrations, bringing together the faith of 140 crore Indians. Prime Minister Narendra Modi called it a “Maha Yagya of Unity”, highlighting its importance in uniting people from all parts of the country.
A Celebration of Culture and Tradition
Reflecting on the event, the Prime Minister highlighted how the Maha Kumbh was not just a religious gathering but a monumental event that strengthened India’s culture and traditions for generations to come. He emphasized that the participation of millions of devotees was not just a record but a foundation for preserving the country’s rich heritage.
Expressing his gratitude for the dedication and efforts of the people, PM Modi shared his thoughts in a blog post, which he later shared on social media platform X.
A Global Example of Planning and Management
The Prime Minister noted that the successful organization of the Maha Kumbh has become a subject of study for management professionals and policy experts worldwide. He further stated that India, proud of its heritage, is now moving forward with new energy, marking the dawn of a transformative era that will shape the country’s future.
A Testament to ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ i.e. A Symbol of Unity
PM Modi praised how people from all parts of society came together for this festival, calling it a true example of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” (One India, Great India). He said the Maha Kumbh has strengthened the country’s spirit and confidence and expressed deep admiration for the citizens in making this event a success.
A Prayer for the Nation
As a gesture of gratitude and devotion, PM Modi announced his visit to the Somnath Jyotirlinga, one of the twelve revered Jyotirlingas, to offer prayers for the continued unity and progress of the nation.
The Maha Kumbh 2025 will be remembered as a historic event and also for its massive scale, but also for the strong bond of faith and culture it created among people across the nation.
