imfa receives two awards

BHUBANESWAR, AUG 20

Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys (IMFA) has been awarded the prestigious EEPC India Eastern Region Award for Export Excellence in the large enterprise category for the fiscal years 2019-20 and 2020-21. The awards were presented at the 38th and 39th editions of the ceremony recently held in Kolkata.

Organised by the Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) of India, the awards recognize organisations that have demonstrated exceptional export performance and made significant contributions to India’s engineering export industry. IMFA’s steadfast commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction has been pivotal in achieving this esteemed recognition.

West Bengal Minister for Industry, Commerce and Enterprises, Dr. Shashi Panja, who graced the event as the Chief Guest, presented the award to IMFA, highlighting its exceptional performance during the challenging fiscal years of 2019-20 and 2020-21. This achievement is particularly remarkable given the hurdles posed by the pandemic.

With over 90 per cent of its total production being exported, IMFA has a robust export focus and maintains a long-term customer base in Southeast Asian markets, including Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. The company was honoured in the large enterprise category, one of five award categories that include medium, small, micro, and merchant enterprises, for its significant contributions to India’s engineering export sector.

EEPC India, a trade and investment promotion organisation for the engineering sector, hosts annual awards to recognize Indian companies excelling in engineering and manufacturing and serves as a liaison between the Indian government and the engineering sector, contributing to policy decisions as an advisory body.
