On Thursday, industry leaders and Shripad Yesso Naik, Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), discussed the production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme and other incentives to support Indian manufacturing in the renewable energy sector.
He reaffirmed MNRE’s complete support for associations in the renewable energy sector and emphasized the government’s commitment to hastening India’s shift to a low-carbon economy.
Bhupinder Singh Bhalla, the MNRE secretary, was also present during the meeting. He restated the Ministry’s commitment to supporting development and innovation in the field of renewable energy.
Among the industry representatives for renewable energy was the All-India Solar Industries Association. According to an official release, the meeting was a major step toward enhancing cooperation between the government and business partners, with the goal of advancing India’s aspirations in the global renewable energy scene.
