Free Solar Rooftop Scheme Registration
Free Solar Rooftop Scheme has been started by the Central Government and all the citizens who complete the registration process for this scheme and are found eligible will be given subsidy on purchasing solar panels under this scheme. The Government of India has started the Free Solar Rooftop Scheme under the name of PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme. And rooftop solar panels will be installed on one crore houses through this scheme. Any citizen who installs solar system under this scheme will also be given 300 units of electricity free per month. Eligibility for Free Solar Rooftop Scheme

- To avail the benefits of the scheme, the applicant must be an Indian citizen.
- The age of the citizen must be 18 years or more than 18 years.
- The citizen must have an electricity connection.
- The citizen must also have his own bank account.
- Subsidy will be given only when solar rooftop systems are purchased.
- Aadhar card and other necessary documents must be available with the citizen in the documents.
How to apply for Free Solar Rooftop Scheme?
- To apply for the free solar rooftop scheme, one has to register on the PM Surya Ghar Mukt Bijli Yojana portal.
- Now the information to be asked has to be selected.
- Now you have to login by clicking on the login option.
- Now open the application form by clicking on the option related to the application form, fill all the information and then submit the form.
- Now we have to wait for the approval from DISCOM, install the solar plant only after getting the approval.
- Now you have to fill all the information related to the plant and apply for net meter.
- Now the commissioning certificate will be given to you after some time. After receiving this, you have to enter the information related to the bank account on the portal.
- Now you have to wait for a few days and then the subsidy will be sent to the bank account.
