DHAMRA, AUG 19
The Dhamra Port Company Limited (DPCL) launched a recognition program to honour their contractual workmen for their exceptional commitment to safety and safe practices in the workplace. The primary goals of this initiative are to promote safety, enhance the safety culture within the port premises, effectively implement safety systems, foster a positive attitude towards safety, and boost employee and contractor engagement in safety efforts.
In this program, 953 participants cast their votes to nominate their Safety Stars. From these nominations, the top 20 candidates were selected for a written test in the second round. The top 10 workmen from this round were then interviewed by the COO and Head of HR in the third round, with 5 of them having the opportunity to interact directly with the CEO. Ultimately, 3 workmen were chosen as the winners of the Safety Star Award for the first quarter of FY 2024-25. The winners are: Subash Chandra Mahalik (Fitter under M/s. Bigyan Chandra Ray), Sushanta Maity (Muck Clear under M/s. Mujibar Ali Khan), and Priya Ranjan Barik (Technician under M/s. Bigyan Chandra Ray).
