A felicitation ceremony took place at the Town Engineering Conference Hall on Monday to honour the Safai Mitras working in the Township and to recognize the winners of various competitions held in RSP-run educational institutions.
PK Swain, Chief General Manager In Charge (TA & CSR), served as the Chief Guest, while BK Jojo, Chief General Manager (TE & Horticulture), was the Guest of Honour. TG Kanekar, General Manager In Charge (Town Services), also graced the event. The function was attended by several senior officers and staff from various units of the Town Services and Town Engineering Departments, as well as educational institutions.
During the event, the dignitaries honoured 20 Safai Mitras from the Civil, Electrical, and Water Supply units of the Town Engineering Department, the Horticulture Department, the Town Services Department, and the Sports, Protocol Hospitality, and Education Departments.
Winners of the song, drawing, and elocution competitions, held earlier as part of the Swachhata campaign, were also recognized. Students from Class 5 and 6 of Ispat English Medium School, Sector-20, participated in the drawing and song competitions, while students from Class XI and XII of Ispat Vidya Mandir, Sector-19, took part in the elocution competition. The winners of the song competition performed their award-winning songs, adding vibrancy to the occasion.
Speaking at the event, the dignitaries commended the Safai Mitras and the winning students for their outstanding contributions and encouraged everyone to keep the city clean and green.
TG Kanekar welcomed the gathering, while Rajeev Mukherjee, Senior Manager (HR-CLC), provided an overview of the instant recognition scheme. The function was coordinated by Sanjib Behera, Senior Manager (TS).
