AMNS India observes National Nutrition Week

ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) marked National Nutrition Week at its Odisha locations, focusing on this year’s theme, “Nutritious Diets for Everyone.” The initiative, aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, underscores the need for balanced diets throughout life.

At Munda Sahi Anganwadi in Dalki village, a program educated 42 women and children on nutrition, with AM/NS India’s Dr. Barun Kumar Samal and Dr. Subrat Dhal discussing food categories and their health benefits. They also highlighted India’s global hunger index status and the fight against malnutrition.

In Paradip, AM/NS India, in collaboration with the District TB Office, Jagatsinghpur, distributed nutrition food baskets and infection control kits to tuberculosis patients. TB survivor and advocate Nityananda Berman shared his recovery experience, emphasizing the importance of nutrition. The effort was praised by TB champions actively raising awareness in Kujanga Block.
