DHAMRA, NOV 23
The Adani Foundation, in partnership with the Animal Husbandry Department, recently celebrated Go Sambardhana Week in Kuamara and nearby villages. The week-long event focused on promoting livestock care and management, recognizing local livestock owners for their dedication, and raising awareness about best practices for animal health.
The Foundation organized veterinary camps across nine gram panchayats in Chandali and Basudevpur blocks. A team of veterinary experts provided treatment and vaccinations to 553 livestock, offering free medicines, nutritional supplements, and fruits. Mobile Veterinary Units also delivered services directly to farmers’ doorsteps.
Dr. Srinibash Kar, Dr. Nimain Charan Pattnaik, and Dr. Rashmirekha Sethi led the camps, educating villagers on common livestock diseases, preventive care, and the economic benefits of scientific rearing practices.
A Foundation spokesperson said, “Livestock plays a key role in rural livelihoods. Through Go Sambardhana Week, we aim to improve livestock health and boost farmers’ economic resilience, while working closely with the Animal Husbandry Department to enhance community well-being.”
The event reflects Adani Foundation’s ongoing commitment to rural development, focusing on health, education, and sustainable livelihoods in the Dhamra region.
