BHUBANESWAR, AUG 22
Eminent educationist and philanthropist Achyuta Samanta has been appointed as Senior Adviser to Dansa Kourouma, President of Guinea’s National Transition Council (Conseil National de Transition – CNT). This appointment was approved by the cabinet of the National Transition Council of the Republic of Guinea.
Earlier this year, Kourouma visited KIIT and KISS in January, where he was impressed by the broad range of initiatives, including education, health, and social programs, undertaken by Samanta through KIIT & KISS. During his visit, Kourouma invited Samanta to become his adviser. Following Samanta’s agreement, Kourouma presented the proposal to the Guinean cabinet, which endorsed the appointment.
As an honorary adviser, Samanta will offer guidance on education, health, and economic development for Guinea. Kourouma has submitted the necessary documents to Samanta’s representative in Guinea.
This new role marks him as the first Odia to become an adviser to another country. Samanta expressed his gratitude to the Guinean government and assured that he would contribute his expertise to advance education, health, and economic development in Guinea.
Previously, Samanta served as a senior adviser to the Government of Manipur.
