Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated a proud moment for India as the Tricolour was hoisted over the Chenab Rail Bridge in Jammu & Kashmir, the highest railway bridge in the world. He described the event as a symbol of India’s growing strength in building modern infrastructure, even in the most difficult terrains.

Sharing his pride on X, PM Modi wrote:

“The Tricolour flies high over the Chenab Rail Bridge!
It’s a feeling of immense pride that this bridge shows India’s ability to turn big dreams into reality, even in the most difficult areas.”

The Chenab Rail Bridge, built across the Chenab River, marks a major step in improving rail connectivity in remote areas. It stands as a shining example of India’s engineering excellence and commitment to connecting every part of the nation.

Later, PM Modi also interacted with the team of workers and engineers who helped build the iconic structure. He praised their dedication, hard work, and courage. Many of them came from different corners of the country and worked through tough conditions to make this dream a reality.

Sharing more about the interaction, PM Modi posted:

“Interacted with some of the people involved in building the Chenab Rail Bridge.
They belong to different parts of India and are unwavering in their resolve to build modern infrastructure for their fellow Indians. They shared their experiences, including working in some very challenging times. They also shared how their families are very proud of the work they have done!”
