TP Western Odisha Distribution Limited (TPWODL) and TP Northern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPNODL) celebrated Lineman Day to recognize the hard work and dedication of linemen who ensure a reliable power supply across the region.
At TPWODL’s Burla office, officials including Ashish Kumar Patjoshi, Chief of Operations, and Gopabandhu Satpathy, Head of Safety, acknowledged the critical role of linemen, who often work in challenging conditions. Similar celebrations took place in nine western Odisha districts.
In Balasore, CEO Dwijadas Basak led TPNODL’s observance, with senior officials overseeing events in Jaleswar and Joda. As part of the 54th National Safety Week, Basak called linemen the “unsung heroes” of power distribution and emphasized workplace safety. More than 10,000 linemen participated in programs featuring competitions and awareness campaigns.
Both companies reinforced their commitment to safety by distributing protective gear such as helmets, gloves, and safety belts. TPNODL’s celebrations were attended by CFO Siladitya Sengupta and HR Head Ramendra Banik, highlighting the essential role of linemen in maintaining power supply.
